Keanan Duffy

Keanan Duffty is an award-winning British fashion designer and the author of “Rebel Rebel Anti-Style” (Rizzoli/Universe, 2009). Keanan is a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and a CFDA Education Committee member. Duffty was the stylist for the prestigious 2016 CFDA Board of Directors Tribute Award to David Bowie, featuring Tilda Swinton and Michael C. Hall with original costumes created by Kansai Yamamoto and Donatella Versace. Duffty earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with 1st Class Honors from Central Saint Martins, London.

The Keanan Duffty music-inspired fashion collection was established in 1998 and sold to 150 international retailers including Barney’s New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdales, Harvey Nichols, Lane Crawford Hong Kong, Baycrews and Journal Standard in Japan. From 2000-2003 Duffty collaborated with Reebok, Gola and Dr Martens on a co-branded sneaker and footwear collections. He collaborated with Aveda to create sustainable fragrance and organic cotton apparel and with Kid Robot and Medicom to create collectible KD toys.

In 2007 Duffty personally collaborated with David Bowie to create a limited-edition fashion collection for 1200 Target stores throughout the USA, which sold out immediately upon its debut. He has also served as Design Director for Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B, John Varvatos and Ben Sherman.

Keanan Duffty serves as the Director of Fashion Programs within the Provost’s Office at Parsons School of Design in New York. He is the founder of the Masters in Fashion Management at Parsons and has given lectures and masterclasses at Bunka Fashion College Tokyo, Fashion Institute of Technology New York, Academy of Art University San Francisco, Drexel University, Essec Paris, Philadelphia University, Hastings University, Fordham Fashion Law, Marist College, LIM College, Brooklyn Museum and numerous academic campuses throughout China
