IMM Designer – Mariana Jimenez

Mariana Jimenez uses fashion as a tool for self-expression and exploration, challenging gender norms through multidisciplinary design. Drawing on her roots in Bogotá, Colombia, and the experience of emigration, she blends organic and structured elements to inspire confidence and experimentation in her wearers.

Her collection Transhumants reflects the nostalgia migrants often feel for their hometowns, exploring the bond between nature and architecture through intricate beadwork. Inspired by Bogotá’s lush greenery and vibrant urban landscape, the designs weave a narrative of identity, memory, and place.

Under her brand, Rana, Jimenez transforms personal experiences into a shared dialogue, honoring her connection to Bogotá while crafting garments that evoke a sense of belonging and self-discovery. Her work invites wearers to embrace their individuality and find meaning in the interplay of past and present.
