Fashion Week El Paseo™ 2017
FIDM/ Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising
California boy Danny Godoy describes his collection as a blend of classic looks from the 1940s-1950s and showgirl pizzazz. His dark color palette interrupted with pops of color reflects the patterns of life, from adversity to celebration. He incorporates luxurious fabrics into his designs, such as silk velvet, peau de soie, and faux monkey fur, and is fond of the designs of Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel and Christian Dior. After graduation from FIDM, Godoy hopes to work for an established fashion house, learn all aspects of the business, and create his own lifestyle brand.
